SUBJECT-BASED TUTORING
At The Academic Collective, every student is able to learn in an effective and nurturing environment. We provide 1-on-1 and small group sessions for middle school through graduate students in all subject areas, as well as test preparation. We offer flexible scheduling so you get the help you need, when you need it.
COLLEGE APPLICATION WORKSHOP
This is our assistant director's favorite program to lead! Our College Application Workshop is the stress-free way to complete those pesky college essays, explore major choices, plan school visits, create a professional resume, apply for scholarships and hit 'SUBMIT' on all of your applications before the deadlines.
STANDARDIZED TEST PREP
Standardized tests are stressful, but we can help students build their confidence by learning insider tips for the exam. We have collected hundreds of practice sections and tests for in-session and at-home practice, and we always follow up with a detailed review of performance. Parents and students will be able to track the student's progress towards a target score with tutor feedback reports and intermittent full-length practice exams in a test setting.
ACADEMIC COACHING
This is great service for virtual support. We keep parents in the loop while the tutor and student do the heavy lifting. The objectives of Academic Coaching are: organization, time management, study skills and test preparation. We help students meet deadlines by managing their calendar, creating study guides and aids for quizzes and exams, devising plans to complete projects and papers, and practice skills like grammar/vocabulary/reading comprehension/speed, and complete homework.
